Evening prayer before sleeping: Lord in the evening of this day, in this prayer before sleeping, I come to place in your hands this day, its joys and its sorrows, its advances and its difficulties, its successes and its trials.
First I want to humbly ask your forgiveness Lord. Sorry for all the sins I have committed and which have hurt your heart which has not stopped loving me for a single moment today. Sorry for the thoughts I had that were not according to the truth, sorry for the words I spoke that hurt those I met today, sorry for the actions I took that were not fair and good, sorry for all the good that I could have done and that I did not do, through forgetfulness or lack of attention.
Lord, with great confidence, I present all this to you in all simplicity because I know that you love me, and that you offered your life on the cross precisely to forgive all these sins. So thank you Lord, thanks to your forgiveness I feel free in front of you and I can fall asleep in peace in your love.
In this prayer tonight I also want to say thank you Lord, thank you for your grace and your love which has continued to accompany me today. Thank you for life, for this air that I breathed, for this food which strengthened me, for these places that I live or that I visited. Thank you for the simplest and most essential things in life.
