Dedicated to Infantry Men and
Dedicated to Infantry Men and Women everywhere, and the Corporal that managed to sneak the song onto my pc without me noticing.
I couldn't find this on youtube and I thought it should be here, the video's just the few pictures from the battle of new georgia that I could find, and some from Rodger Young's army file.
15 years later and I'd like to thank you all for the comments, 100% of which were positive, a record for a youtube video I think, and a small but lasting sentiment to a true, selfless hero.
Other, better videos for this song have appeared in the time since, and I have re-enlisted, and the retired again, I'm now fairly well decorated, 8 medals! who would have thought? and I have grown to believe there can be other resolutions to conflict, but I'd trade all that hippy shit to be a young infantryman again, permanent camo wax in my eyebrows and dinner from one of those woks you can make by putting a flashbang under a mess-tin
