Contingents from various locations in the Bicol Region flock to Sorsogon for Regional Street Dance Competiton. Each contingent will perform for four to six minutes to showcase their own unique history and culture.

📍Pilar, Sorsogon
🥁Adlibitum and Friends along with the Locals of Pilar
The town was named after it's patron saint "Our Lady of the Pillar" handed down by the spaniards. Through it's history, the town was known on making sailboats and an alternative port for the Manila-Acapulco galleon trade. It was also one of the victims of moro pirate attacks.

Pili trees are not the only thing that makes the Sorsogn known. Their old & new tourist attractions and their cultural heritage "Pantomina"(a Bicolano wedding dance that copies the movement of doves) are also known.

🥁Tribu Tiwinhon & Tiwi Agro Industrial School Red Phoenix
Coron is a Bicol dialect meaning clay-pot or potteries of which the town of Tiwi, Albay is popularly known for.

Voyadores came from the word "boya/boyador" which refers to males who carry the andas of ina to Naga Cathedral. The festival also represents stories of bicolanos devotion to Peñafrancia.

🥁Rinconada Band
"Kamuy-an" is a Baaoeño term for "happiness". With their strong devotion to God, they express their prayer of thanksgiving and gratification by means of "dotoc" after receiving bountiful harvest from rice and coconut.

Catanduanes province was known as the top producer of finest grade of abaca friber not just in the Philippines but in the whole world despite having been ravaged by super typhoons in the last two decades.

Almost 1/3 of the island was occupied by ranch where most of the cows and other livestock live.

- Reprenting the Province of Camarines Norte

The province was known to have the first Rizal bantayog (or monument in english). "Palay" (rice), "Isda" (fish), and "Niyog"(coconut") are the main sources of living in Sta. Elena.

Tinagba means the "first harvest offering", part of their tradition during their first harvest. In the local history, they were known to be the settlements of Nabua who moved to "Iraga"(means where there is land) where they can plant their crops without having fear of being flooded again.

"Burac" means flowers as it was erroneously interpreted as "Virac" by the Spaniards.

"Kaogma" is a shorter term for "kaogmahan" which means happiness or having a good time. The dance showcases the Peñafrancia Festival in Naga and the Camarines Sur Watersports Complex(CWC) where it was known in Asia to be the first 6-point cable ski system that’s perfect for wakeboarding, knee boarding, water skiing, and wakeskating.

Just before the end of this event, it was announced that DOT and Governor Hamor is planning to make a National Festival of Festivals in 2024. I'll look forward to it.
