Password Protect a Folder on Mac OS X | Lock and Secure your Macintosh Files

If you would like to Lock a Folder on your Mac with a Password to protect the files it contains, there isn't a direct way to do it. However, it is fairly easy to do this with the Disk Utility application that comes with your Mac.
