Sint Maarten has always been
Sint Maarten has always been a home away from home and my passports have enough stamps from both the airport on the Dutch side and ferry terminal on the French side to prove it.
My wife and I hadn't been to the island since Hurricane Irma. It was a bit sad to see the island take a hit from both a hurricane and then a pandemic.
But.... Cruises are coming back, reconstruction is happening slowly but surely, and we the tourists are slowly coming back as well.
I would also say you need to be extremely aware of your surroundings when operating a UAV (Drone) here. There are two airports and these are zero regulations when it comes to flying here. Honestly I like it that way so use your head and don't do anything stupid. Feel free to reach out if you have questions!
