Tigran Petrosian's imaginative and precise play in the endgame is an extraordinary learning resource. I have chosen three of his very instructive endgames and tried to explain what he did, how he did it, and what could've been done to prevent it by his opponents.

Tigran Petrosian was a very versatile chess player. He is known for his defensive technique and being "unbeatable". But he was also a master tactician, a great technitian, and a brilliant endgame player.

I have used a few of his endgames I've found very useful for understanding endgame planning to try and show just how good he was.

Games I've covered are:
Kalantar - Petrosian, Yerevan 1948
Petrosian - Botvinnik, 1963 W.Ch., Game 5, 15
