Half-Hearted Bliss Description:
One of the astronauts finds a fix for the machine, and everyone in the ship is relieved, as air rushes back into their lungs. However, they are completely aware that this fix only causes the machine to function for another couple hours.

Part 5b: Plunged Into Darkness

Plunged Into Darkness Description:
After a few hours of airflow, the machine breaks down once more, as predicted. At this point, there is no turning back.
