Copycat McCormick's Brown Gravy Mix
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup beef bouillon powder
2 tbsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp black pepper
Optional when preparing Brown Gravy:
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp Gravy Master or Kitchen Bouquet
Preparation Steps
1. Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
2. To use the homemade brown gravy mix:
3. Mix 3-4 tbsp of the mix with 1 cup of cold water. Whisk until smooth. Heat in a small saucepan over medium heat stirring constantly until it thickens.
4. Optional:
5. For the brown gravy, you can whisk in 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce and 1/2 tsp of Kitchen Bouquet or Gravy Master to add extra flavor and a nice brown color.
