How To Art is a series of video posts on art produced by the Facilitating Artist staff at the Soul Studio. These videos range from tutorials offering simple instructions for an art project that can be done at home, to interviews with artists about their art practice. These videos aim to be open ended and inspirational rather than prescriptive, to align with the ethos of the Soul Studio, the artists drive the program. Projects are flexible so any participant, regardless of their abilities, can engage with it.
Dresner Foundation Soul Studio, a project of Friendship Circle, is a supported studio art program for adults with special needs that responds to each participant’s unique physical and cognitive conditions. We encourage the creative growth of artists who attend Soul Studio by shaping individualized paths to success, and helping them build careers as contemporary artists. Artwork made by Soul Studio artists is exhibited in the Soul Studio Gallery and in local and national exhibitions.
