We learn how to use
We learn how to use FreeCAD to brake up a external 3D model such as an obj , 3ds or stl file into it's individual part which has been created by another party allow us to remove, rearrange, modify and add our own modelled parts to the model and then export it out ready for 3D printing or to use in another 3D package.
We look at two examples:
- A BBQ grill where we break the model up to extract out the grill element to adjust the configuration of the bars
- A model truck front gril where we remove the front bar and remove and add our own text before merging them all back into one model
