I went hunting for precious gemstones and you won't believe what I found! Searching for gems like agate and jasper on the surface of the earth is an activity known as rockhounding, and the BEST place to rockhound in America is in the remote and beautiful lands along the border of Oregon and Idaho. Wanting to try my luck at finding beautiful gemstones, and also tackle a gorgeous day hike, I hit the trail in Leslie Gulch in eastern Oregon on the hunt for the treasures of the earth! What I found was truly amazing.
