In this video, we will discuss how to determine the transfer function of a system from a transient response. This is example 8 in this video series about System Identification.

The transient response in this example is a step response of a PI Controller (Proportional Integral Controller). From this response, we will determine the parameters of the system using a model. Step by step, we will carry out the calculations. Using simulations in MATLAB, we will check our calculations and thereby verify that the transfer function of the system is correct.

We follow a logical procedure and provide the solutions step by step such that it clear for you what and why we carry out a specific action.
