This is the first installment
This is the first installment of the 2023 North Carolina Whitetail Deer Season!!! Although I got skunked the last two weekends, I covered a lot of ground scouting, found some huge buck sign, moved some trail cameras, saw some deer while scouting, and learned a ton while hunting public land in the Eastern Piedmont region of NC.
One of my biggest takeaways from my recent hunting expeditions is that thermals play a huge role in hunting, even in relatively flat pine stands. Even a slight slope can make or break a hunt!
