HP Pavilion DV6 Multi-Monitor Tutorial: Extend Your Display

In this short tutorial, you will learn to connect Multiple Monitors with your Laptop or Notebook if it has Switchable Graphics. Like, we have the HP Pavilion dv6 Laptop, which has both the VGA and HDMI ports.

Note: Graphics drivers for both of the Switchable Graphic Cards should be installed in Windows.

As soon as you will plug-in another display cable either VGA or HDMI Cable, Windows will immediately then duplicate your laptop screen over the second display, which is the default behavior.

You can later go to Display Properties and from there you can change the Multiple Monitor behavior from Duplicate to Extend and can also identiy the monitors and can set their positions according to their physical location.
