To check the tax deducted
To check the tax deducted for the Assessment Year (AY) 2024-25 in India, follow these steps:
Login to the Income Tax e-Filing Portal:

Log in using your User ID (PAN), password, and the Captcha code.
Access Form 26AS:

Click on "View Form 26AS (Tax Credit)".
You will be redirected to the TRACES (TDS Reconciliation Analysis and Correction Enabling System) website.
View Tax Credit Statement:
On the TRACES website, click on tax credit then select the appropriate Assessment Year (2024-25) and the format in which you want to view the Form 26AS (HTML, PDF, etc.).
Download and view the Form 26AS, which will show the details of the tax deducted at source (TDS) from various sources like salary, interest, and other incomes.
Ensure that the tax deducted matches the amounts shown in Form 26AS. If there are discrepancies, contact the deductor for rectification.
By following these steps, you can verify the tax deducted for AY 2024-25 efficiently.
