I stopped shaving myself, and
I stopped shaving myself, and only pay others to shave me this year... It is 2am in New York City and I need a shave. I entered the subway and boarded the E train to Roosevelt ave station.
I entered the Desh Bidesh Salon, after watching how professional the barbers are from the outside. I also immediately loved how they advertise all the pricing outside, so there can be no confusion. Haircuts and shaves are all $10. Deal. I asked for a shave, and had to wait about 25 minutes before being served. While sitting inside waiting, the conversation was all foreign to me, since no English was spoken.
The first barber closest to the door is 24 year old Mohammad, a barber of 3 years, from Bangladesh, who invited me to sit down. He lathered me up with shaving cream to the max, and gave me a fantastic straight razor shave. Definitely recommended.
I was out of there about 245am, and went walking for food. I found Taco Veloz, with a fantastic salsa bar selection, including pickled chili peppers, radish, limes, salsa verde, avocado sauce, and a red hot crazy chili sauce. I ordered the mushroom and Oaxaca cheese quesadilla for $7, and found it to be amazingly delicious. Well worth it.
