Peanut Butter Cup Pie (easy no-bake recipe) - with yoyomax12

A light, fluffy and delicious pie, perfect for summer.  Chocolate and peanut butter are one of my most favourite flavour combinations.
I also love cheesecake and this covers that angle too :)

1- 8oz (250g) package of cream cheese (try to pick happy cream cheese, the sad kind just doesn't turn out as well).
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter (plus an extra tablespoon for garnish)
1 cup cold milk
1 package instant vanilla pudding (small 4 serving size)
2 1/2 cups (DIVIDED) Cool Whip whipped dessert topping (or similar)
1 cookie pie crust (chocolate, shortbread or graham wafer)
3 oz (1/2 cup) chocolate chips or chopped semi-sweet chocolate

Beat the cream cheese ant the peanut butter together until well blended and then add the milk and pudding mix.  Beat for about 2 minutes or until well blended and then fold/stir in 1 cup of cool whip and spoon into the prepared crust.
Refrigerate while preparing next step.
Place the remaining 1 1/2 cups cool whip and the 1/2 cup chocolate into a bowl and microwave on high for about 1 minute until the chocolate chips can be stirred until melted.

Spread the chocolate mixture over the pudding in the crust. Melt some peanut butter (about a tablespoon) and drizzle over pie (optional) for garnish.

Refrigerate several hours (at least 4 hours) or until firm.

NOTES:  The chocolate layer doesn't set very well on this pie and stay pretty much in a semi-liquid form, if you prefer a firmer chocolate layer, I would recommend using more chocolate or less cool whip.
