4:27 How long does it take to eliminate hunger while fasting?

Today, I’m going to share some simple fasting tips to help reduce hunger while fasting.

1. Don’t go too fast.
If you eat two meals per day, scale back to three. Gradually ease into fasting so your body has time to get used to it.

2. Increase fat and protein.
Add more fat to your meals to eliminate hunger between meals and ensure you’re getting enough protein. Some people need 6 to 7 ounces of protein per meal to feel satisfied.

3. Reduce carbohydrates.
If your carbs are too high, you will never get into ketosis. Intermittent fasting without keto often causes cravings and extreme hunger because you’re not adapted to fat-burning. The constant changes in blood sugar may cause you to feel irritable, grouchy, weak, and tired.

4. Increase vegetable intake.
Consume 7 to 10 cups of vegetables per day to ensure you get enough potassium and magnesium. Without these 2 essential minerals, it will be difficult to get into ketosis. They’re also important in eliminating insulin resistance.

5. Consume apple cider vinegar.
Apple cider vinegar (ACV) can help you digest protein and helps regulate insulin and blood sugar.

6. Have a snack that’s high in fat.
If you feel like you’re starving while fasting and absolutely need to have a snack, consume a high-fat snack. Fat causes the least significant insulin response.

It takes about 3 to 4 days to get 50% of your body into ketosis. In about a week, most people are 100% adapted to fat-burning. Some people take longer, while some don’t need as much time.
