Salah (prayer) is reminding oneself of God, praising God, asking for mercy from God and thanking God. One only observes salah for him/herself. Not for God. Because God doesn't need anything (17:15, 29:6, 30:44, 39:41, 41:46, 45:15). The Quran doesn't just allow salah in native language, but supports it (4:43, 5:48, 7:205, 17:110, 24:41, 30:22, 41:44, 49:13, 73:8, 107:4-5). Salah must be observed in native language, not a foreign language. The Quran gives examples of those who pray in their own languages (2:37,127, 3:43,113, 11:87, 19:4, 21:90, 38:24, 66:11). Also contemplate on 2:45,225, 5:35,58, 6:38, 17:44, 22:40, 22:67, 36:69, 70:3, 73:4. Here you see an English version of two-rakah Sunni prayer. The at-tahiyyatu prayer is omitted because it calls out to the Prophet as if he were a god beside God. Prayer is only for God alone.
