Judy Olive, RN, is a clinical nurse specialist in the perinatal division at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center. Judy has been a registered nurse for 35 years. Judy has had the opportunity to mentor nurses throughout her career and advises nurses to to "always be a learner...always be loving and compassionate. I would encourage the nurse, when there are difficult situations or people, to seek the good in the difficult people. There's something to be grateful for in every difficult situation or person."

Judy considers the best characteristic of a great nurse to be "instilling confidence and trust in that patient to make a really genuine and sincere heart connection with that person."
