With prices on corn and other feed used to feed the deer, the varmints like raccoons are taking its toll. So we are trying to do what ever we can to keep the little suckers from getting at the feed. It appears to work in theory, only time will tell as well as once I get some motion cameras up. But for now, the price is well worth the risk of nothing at all.
The Sharks Teeth strips in this video reminded me of the Simpson Strong Ties used in house framing construction. However, I was unable to find any of the "ties" in strips as long as these. Plus, the cost for the "ties" I found at the home improvement stores where VERY expensive for the little 4 inch pieces you get when compared to the Sharks teeth.
