How to slice stuff in Blender3D

Let's cut something in Blender!

Hi everyone,
in this tutorial, I will try my best to show you how I made the slicing effect I used in my 3D short animation that you can watch here:
Nope, Not Today! - (Stressful life 03)

This is intended as a step by step tutorial but I assume you already have a basic knowledge of the software.
We will use modifiers, shape animation, and rigid bodies simulation during this video.
