With Taika Waitit's "Time Bandits"
With Taika Waitit's "Time Bandits" series debuting on Apple TV+, it's the perfect time to play our favorite game about the movie that inspired it: Was It Great or Were You 8? Christy saw "Time Bandits" when it came out in 1981, and vividly recalls how scary the film was for her as a little girl. But how do she and Alonso feel about Terry Gilliam's adventure comedy as adults? We went back and watched it to find out. Sean Connery, John Cleese, David Warner, David Rappaport, Shelley Duvall and Gilliam's co-screenwriter Michael Palin co-star in this tale of bumbling little people who steal a map to bop through time and commit robberies.. Craig Warnock plays Kevin, the young boy who goes along for the ride. The absurdist "Monty Python" vibe is strong here, as is Gilliam's fantastical aesthetic. What do you think of "Time Bandits?"
