The Governemnt Of India announced
The Governemnt Of India announced the guidelines for outward remittance from India. The central government, in consultation with the RBI, has notified an amendment of rules under the FEMA of making ‘20% TCS’. The international credit card expenditure done outside India would now come under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS). Under this scheme, all resident individuals, including minors, are allowed to freely remit up to USD250,000 per financial year. There is no restriction on the frequency or number of transactions during a financial year.
