When Earl Groce was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, his wife insisted that they would get back to the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert.
Earl's daughter, a surgical oncologist, encouraged him to join a clinical trial, and he is sure that has made the difference. He has gotten a chance to spend more time with his family and watched his grandchildren grow up. And, he and his wife have made it back to Burning Man three more times, with tickets for the 2022 festival.
