The Last Run of QJ 6988

In mid-June, QJ 6988 made one last run in order to reach the new Railroading Heritage of Midwest America shop in Silvis, IL. On the first day the locomotive traveled east from Newton, IA to Silvis and on second day it ran a round-trip from Silvis to Bureau Junction, IL in order to turn the locomotive. The QJ put on a spectacular show all weekend, pounding the rails of the Iowa Interstate Railroad for perhaps the last time. This video contains scenes from both days of action.
