The story of Ashab-e-Kahf, also known as the Companions of the Cave, is a tale mentioned in the Quran in Surah Al-Kahf (Chapter 18). It goes like this:
In a time long ago, there were seven young men who believed in the oneness of Allah. They lived in a society where the majority of people practiced idolatry. These seven friends were deeply devoted to their faith and sought refuge in a cave to escape persecution for their beliefs.
As they entered the cave, Allah caused them to fall into a deep slumber that lasted for centuries. During their long sleep, the world outside underwent great changes, and the people of their town eventually embraced monotheism. They rediscovered the cave while digging for construction purposes and found the young men still asleep inside.
The news of the miraculous sleep of the companions of the cave spread far and wide. People came from all over to witness this astonishing phenomenon. The young men awoke, thinking they had only slept a short while. One of them was sent to the city to buy food, but he was amazed to find that the currency he had was outdated, and the people he encountered were unfamiliar.
Realizing that something extraordinary had occurred, they turned to Allah in gratitude for preserving their faith and granting them safety during their long slumber. The story of Ashab-e-Kahf serves as a testament to the power of faith and Allah's ability to protect those who believe in Him.
This tale underscores the importance of unwavering faith in the face of adversity and the miraculous ways in which Allah can safeguard His followers.
