Exploring Ireland's Best Preserved / Untouched Abandoned Prison

Today we step back in time and explore what used to be one of Ireland's most secure prisons. That has just been left to rot away over the past 8 years. The prison closed in 2016 due to overcrowding, calling for a new facility to open just across from the old facility. Several plans have been made over the years for what to do with the old prison but have all fallen through leaving the old prison to just sit and let nature take its course on the old building.
