How to Do the Standard Deviation Shortcut (alternate) Formula ✔

Shortcut to standard deviation in statistics involves looking at the formula for the standard deviation and finding an easy way to do the calculation.

The "shortcut" standard deviation formula only uses x and x-squared as opposed to variance formulas.  The "shortcut" formula is particularly useful for large data sets.  This video will show you both ways to calculate the standard deviation and demonstrate that both give you the same result (very important).
