How To Check The Transmission Fluid Level On A Chevrolet Truck

Here is how to check the automatic transmission fluid level on a Chevrolet truck.
1. Warm up the engine.
2. Park on a level surface.
3. Put the parking brake on.
4. Put your foot on the brake and shift through all the gears, keeping the transmission in each gear for three seconds.
5. Shift the transmission into Park.
6. Open the hood
7. Remove the automatic transmission fluid dipstick and wipe it off and put it back in.
8. Wait 3 seconds.
9. Remove the dipstick and see if the transmission fluid level is up to the top line on the Hot marker.
10. If your Chevrolet trucks transmission fluid level is low, add more transmission fluid by putting a funnel on the dipstick hole and pouring automatic transmission fluid until it reads full.
