The provisional cast on allows
The provisional cast on allows you to maintain live stitches on your cast on edge which will give you the ability to later pick up those stitches to knit in the other direction, do a fold over brim, or the three needle bind-off. It is a cast-on every knitter should be familiar with as it provides many possibilities for unique knitted projects. In this video I explain two methods of the provisional cast-on. One using a crochet hook and the other without a crochet hook which is very similar to the long tail cast-on. Follow along and let's learn this together.
