Gukesh drags Vidit's king out in the open and checkmates it | FIDE Candidates 2024

The second half of the Candidates 2024 has begun and the same players are now pitted against each other as they were in round 1 but with reversed colours. Vidit Gujrathi had the white pieces against Gukesh. And it was an extremely important round because Vidit was on 50% score, while Gukesh was on +1. Gukesh surprised Vidit with a relatively new idea on move 4 and that was the start of the feeling that Gukesh was in complete control of the game.
