Why 'Trans' Kids Are OBSESSED With Hair

Let’s talk about hair and
Let’s talk about hair and gender dysphoria and why is it that so many young people are obsessed with their hair?
The males more often than not are obsessed with removing their hair, while the girls are obsessed with growing out and cultivating their hair.
There was and to some extent still is a huge amount of capitalist kind of consumer emphasis on hair.
Gillette, you know, the razor blades ,they have created a massive industry around hair to the point that while my mother has never shaved anything in her life, I grew up with the kind of presumption that shaving was a requirement.
And now I look at the Gillette ads and the girls are shaving their arms, they're shaving,between their legs,an extraordinary level of grooming is required.
And then I meet all these ROGD kids and they’re not shaving their arms or legs and are growing out their facial hair.
This is so generational!
We have been taught to be disgusted in both directions!
The girls growing their hair out, they’re rejecting the norms put on them in a way, they want to be free of these restrictions.
They can free themselves from society's silly rules.
That's OK.
It's perfectly fine to do that.
You don't have to medicalise your identity to free yourself from these restrictions, and this is what your child needs to realise. Focusing on the hair and focusing on the disgust you might have around the hair arguably won't help you.
You'd be better off, if you could at all, focus on releasing, helping your child to release and liberate themselves from society's restrictions.
It’s fantastically different for boys.
The boys removing their hair are in a really dark place about their body and are fixated on this battle on this battle with their body.
They see the hair as something that they have to fight.They see the hair as something that disgusts them.
So if at all possible,what you're trying to do with these boys is free themselves from the prison of self consciousness.
They are lost deep in the prison of self consciousness.
