Omri was Abducted by Hamas Because he did the Right Thing

Have you ever been punished for doing the right thing?

Today we want to tell you about a man named Omri.

On October 7th, Omri and his family were hiding from rockets in their bomb shelter when Hamas terrorists broke into their house. The terrorists had brought a young boy from the kibbutz as a hostage with them.

They threatened Omri that they would harm the boy if he didn’t open the door to the bomb shelter. Omri and his family opened the door and were taken from the house.

After spending hours in uncertainty the terrorists handcuffed Omri and took him away in a car. As he was taken away Roni, Omri’s 2 year old daughter, tried to run after the terrorists, shouting “I want my Daddy, I want my Daddy.”

Lishai, Omri’s wife managed to tell him “I love you, we are waiting for you. Don’t be a hero.” As he was taken away.

Omri is being held hostage in Gaza, along with at least 239 other hostages - fathers, mothers, grandparents, children and infants.
