Lviv (Ukrainian: Львів, romanization Lviv, AFI pronunciation: /ˈʎʋiu̯/ ( listen); Polish: Lwów) is the largest city in western Ukraine3 and the sixth most populous in the country; It is the administrative center of the Lviv Oblast and the historic center of the Galician region with a population of 717,510 inhabitants.4 It is one of the most important tourist, cultural, and educational centers in the country.
