This simple recipe is a staple in anglo indian homes all over the world. Pepper water is used as a side dish for different chicken, fish or meat dishes. People also drink this spicy and sour dish by itself to aid digestion after a full meal. Recipe: 1 tsp Hing/Asafoetida 1 tsp turmeric powder 3 cloves of sliced garlic 2 red kashmiri chilies (broken into pieces) 3 tbsp tamarind powder or tamarind paste salt to taste half a cup coriander leaves 3-4 curry leaves 3 tbsp Jeera/cumin 3 tbsp whole black pepper corns 6-8 cloves of whole garlic
