Day and night, for 6
Day and night, for 6 months, our team closely followed investigators from the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI), specialized in the fight against gangs. We witnessed their investigations, sharing every moment to better understand their techniques.
Our immersion took place in the heart of 36 quai des Orfèvres, the famous headquarters of the Paris judicial police. This place, known as '36', intrigues the creators of dark novels and remains feared by criminals.
Under the direction of Christian Flaesch, and founded in the 1960s by Commissioner Le Moel, the BRI is currently headed by Commissioner Michel Faury. He emphasizes that, beyond courage, patience is crucial for BRI police officers. Unlike cinematic stories, where everything is resolved in a few hours, real police work requires months of shadowing and surveillance.
To immerse us in their reality, Michel Faury and his deputy, Georges Salinas, allowed us to follow the operations of Group 40, at all hours.
