Life with a Friedreich's Ataxia Diagnosis | Proof Bread

Friedreich's ataxia is a life shortening autosomal-recessive genetic disease that causes difficulty walking, a loss of sensation in the arms and legs, and impaired speech that worsens over time. It’s often paired with other systemic issues like cardio-myopathies. Diabetes, and scoliosis. Symptoms generally start between 5 and 20 years of age.
