Movento 240 SC, for the control of Whitefly || Crop Reformer

Cotton whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) is the most important sucking insect which flares up under dry conditions. Movento 240 SC (spirotetramate) is considered as an important but very technical insecticide to manage whitefly preferably in cotton crop. In this video, we have explained that for proper results, this insecticide needs two consecutive sprays with an interval of 6 days. Whitefly can only be managed if it is applied twice at the economic threshold level within a period of 50 days after planting or so. When colonies are developed and severe attack of whitefly is faced after 60-90 days of planting, it becomes difficult to manage it with this insecticide. Malvacy family of plants is more susceptible to insects like Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), jassid (Amrasca bigutulla bigutulla), thrips (Thrips tabaci) and many other chewing insects. Cotton belonging to the same family is prone to insect attack. In this video, we have guided the farmers that imbalanced application of fertilizer is the major source of insect attraction towards cotton crop. Cotton crop well supplied with the balanced nutrition along with micro nutrients, is less attacked by the insects.
