About George Everest Peak:
A short hike to view an incredible sunset, and of the valleys and towns laying below. The peak is named after George Everest who was the Surveyor General of India from 1830 to 1843. The majority of the Great Trigonometrical Survey in India was completed under him. His house is located 300 meters down the peak.
This is a very beautiful trek which gives you a full view of Himalaya at the top which just leaves you in awestruck. Eagles are easily sighted at the top of the hill in all its glory gliding and enjoying and giving spectators a beautiful sight to watch.
Trek to the George Everest house is pretty simple and easy but after that it just takes a completely different step. A lot of scramble on way and really narrow roads which at times just gives a heart attack if you have phobia of heights so be wary of that. Other than that easy, beautiful and short trek which just provides a lot at the end.
