Snorkeling underneath the channel five bridge in the Florida Keys, Islamarada.  The Channel 5 bridge spans between Long Key and Lower Matacumbe Key.

Here's an underwater snorkeling adventure from the Florida Keys.  The clarity and visibility wasn't super, but my Go Pro made the silky colored water come to life with fish and marine life.  I hope you all will enjoy my video.  Included in this video is Tarpon, barracuda, Goliath Grouper, Snappers, tropical fish, green moray eels, and some Florida Lobster.

It's best to go at high tide when the water is clear.  Get a little before high tide that way the last of the in coming current won't bother you too much.  Slack high tide is what you want.  The water should be crystal clear on a windless day and no current until the tide really starts to go back out.

Get yourself settled up under the bridge and venture into the shadow line of the bridges.  You will be a little hesitant at first because when you enter the dark shadow line of the bridge, it takes a few seconds for your to adjust.  But when your eyes adjust you'll be drawn into a wonderful world of mother nature under the sea.

Your snorkeling or diving experience will be one to remember I promise you that.  You can deploy from a boat and or from shore.  If you are diving or snorkeling from shore, make sure that you always a divers flag with you to play by the rules and to be safe.  And always dive or snorkel with a buddy.
