A Good Ol' Fashioned Soldier(ish) Run! - Master Veteran on Dawn - Gears 5 Horde Frenzy 9-14-2021

I couldn't resist trying to
I couldn't resist trying to nostalgia dive for a little bit. Just like the ol' days of Gears of War 4, since Dawn returned, I figured I would make Veteran as close to a Soldier build as I humanly could. That does also include my weapons where I focused solely on the Lancer / Retro Lancer combination since that went best with Custom Lancer.
Lancer stock is fascinating. Every time I ulted, it felt like my auto-aim was getting dragged downward hard, like someone was pushing Oscar's arms down while he shot. It made me need to manually aim to line up my Living Legend a bit more than I normally do. However, when I wasn't ulting, the card was lovely! Recoil just didn't exist lol.
And I love that Dawn's back. I'm a sucker for pretty aesthetics and I've always enjoyed Dawn for Horde. It's great so see my favorite Gears 4 map return at the end of everything.
