Nails are generally very important
Nails are generally very important especially in diagnosing certain skin conditions.When you notice brownish discoloration of nails without any skin changes.This could be genetic or running in families where there is linear brownish discoloration on skin which is benign and one can live with it.There is no treatment for this . Sometimes there could be infection such as fungal infection could show brownish to whitish discoloration.If there are purple colored,dark spots,scaling and peeling of the skin, rashes, patches on skin along with brownish discoloration this should be diagnosed.The diagnosis could be Lichen Planus, Psoriasis or fungal infection or any other skin conditions. Visiting a doctor could help identify underlying cause.
