North Carolina vs. Pitt: The
North Carolina vs. Pitt: The top-seeded Tar Heels defeated the twelfth-seeded Panthers 12-2. The Tar Heels got going early with four first inning home runs by Anthony Donofrio, Casey Cook, Parks Harber, and Alberto Osuna. UNC registered 15 hits, 12 RBI and 6 home runs on the day. Carolina pitcher Jason DeCaro got the win and struck out six batters in seven innings pitched. Pitt finished the afternoon with 7 hits and a home run by C.J. Funk. UNC will face eighth-seed Wake Forest on Friday.
