Over the Hills and Far Away - 17th Century English Traditional

I'm not quite sure why this tune, and the specific lyric "over the hills and far away", together hold so much meaning for me. And I can't recall when I first heard the tune and the words, but it's one of those odd events in life which make an immediate impression and become a part of one's psyche. An apparently simple tune and words, yet they evoke deep emotions.

I love the voice of the mandolin too!
