AdSense Tax Changes - CANADIAN Creators
**** This is NOT my normal content - just sharing to help fellow Northern Creators *****
UPDATE:
People have been asking about the 0/10/30 percent info. Here's how it worked for me:
1) I completed a W-8BEN form - I'm an individual
2) There are three categories of income - here are my rates:
Motion Picture and TV WHT rate: 10%
Services WHT rate 0%
Other copyright default WHT rate 30%
It still remains to be seen, but my thought is that my AdSense will be at 10%
The new tax changes to AdSense will change the rules for the world - this video looks at it for those of us in Canada. I've gone through the process - it's pretty straight-forward, but you NEED to do the forms. It's a big difference in the amount of money that will be withheld.
