2 Minute Drill, Defending the Wing-T

The wing-T offense has been a part of football for 50 years and remains popular on the youngest levels today.

So youth coaches have to know how to properly defend it -- even when league rules restrict how many players they can have in the tackle box.

Here's some tips.

Align defenders over both offensive guards and shoot the A gaps to take away the dive.
Shade inside on the tight end to take away the potential for a double-team block.
Use cornerbacks to help against the run and prevent sweeps from getting to the outside.
