But OK.. what about backing up that Bitcoin wallet you control?
I mean, after all, isn't there some major risk involved in just writing it on paper or on a piece of steel that anyone can find?
Well, yes. And that's the topic of today's video.
You see, over the years, Bitcoin wallet creators have come up with much more sophisticated ways to solve this problem. These range from "multisig" Bitcoin wallets, which require multiple keys, to custodial solutions like Casa, and more.
In this video, I'm going to share and explain one of the newer, more cutting-edge ways to backup your Bitcoin wallet: Shamir Split Backups.
I'll explain the pro's and cons of Shamir backups, and how they compare to things like MultiSig or just dividing up your seed phrase into multiple pieces.
I'll also explain which bitcoin hardware wallet you can use if you want to try this out.
