How to Create Employee Annual Salary Increase Template: For Year end at salary planning cycle, there is always need to plan and calculate employee salary increase or adjustments. This video offers you step-by-step instruction on how to build a salary increase template and use it for your organization.
2:51 Step 1: Customize the tabs to fit your organization's need (leverage Excel templates if applicable)
6:00 Step 2: Input employee information on the "planning sheet" - employee section
8:25 Step 3: Input budget information on "planning sheet" - budget section
13:29 Step 4: Create formula on the "planning sheet" and test with data
For advanced edition, you can add:
- Analytical dynamic charts
- Merit Matrix
- Macro/VBA to solve for more complex issues
24:33 Step 5: Make workbook as user-friendly as possible, such as:
- Highlight cells where input is needed for user(s)
- Add toggle buttons for easy navigation across sheets
26:39 Step 6: Lock up all areas where users cannot change and hide information they do not need to see (eg. This tab)
31:54 Step 7: Password-protect the workbook and send off to user(s)
