PFFD / Proximal Focal Femoral Defect | Walking with an orthoprosthesis
PFFD (Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency) stands for proximal focal femoral defect and describes a congenital malformation of the thigh bone (femur). The rare disease covers a wide spectrum of defects in the thigh area. The hip joint is usually also affected.
Providing children and young people with PFFD is part of our daily work. There is hardly a patient that we cannot get back to walking.
